Board responded it is not “teacher jail” but Transition Center to separate accuser from accused staff during investigation which can be up to 90 days for investigation. Mental health of the staff was a concern.

Online Tutoring was invested in for students but most promising growth with high school students. Participants had higher PSAT and SAT scores.

4.6 million was spent for 44 class size reduction teachers in 2024 to 2025 but has not shown much difference in higher student academic achievement.

Additional Literacy AI has been an agenda for DPSCD. 17 million dollars was spent 2024 to 2025 for 276 Literacy Interventionists. It was shown increase in literacy for elementary students. Apparently, chronic absenteeism has played a major role for kindergarten elementary students in DPSCD.
