We live in a time where the most ridiculous and most nakedly evil people are in charge, destroying countless lives and creating terror and ruination everywhere, and the news media's main response is "maybe they have point."
Kinda weird how “raped children” is swiftly losing its impact as a character flaw.

DHS takes credit for crime being down in Chicago. Data shows that was happening before they arrived.
Immigration officials on Tuesday said a drop in crime numbers was thanks to their work. Police data show the decrease was taking place before federal agents arrived in the city.

Yesterday, when Bovino announced ICE would be returning to Little Village today, some of us donated and fundraised to buy out street vendors in the neighborhood. This morning, volunteers hit the streets at 6:30 am, looking for vendors to buy out. Tamales make an excellent breakfast.

Journalists aren't required to regurgitate whatever a spokesperson tells them. Edit it down to what's germane. Don't repeat insults or lies – unless you blow up the lies. It's your news space – don't surrender it to spokespeople. That doesn't make you look "fair" – it makes you look like a tool.
I consume a massive amount of political news. And in every story the reporter contacts the specific Trump admin spokesperson for comment and the response is always a venomous personal insult followed by praise for Trump or a cabinet official. I realize that has always been standard journalistic

Is a construction like "'too much power' standards unit" a Britishism I'm not aware of? A descriptive quote employed as an adjective? Clumsy as hell.
