I don't dislike using "American" because I want to call myself that. I dislike it because it feels inaccurate in a way that accepts an expansionist narrative that's real, in power, and threatens my country.

I don't love "Yank" because it's slang that I don't understand the full context of. If I actually want to denigrate an expansionist jingoistic person from the US, I usually call them a "Southron", which I favor for the orc-aligned connotation. "USian" is usually just a clunky attempt at correctness.

I'm not aware of anyone, though my view is specific to Canada and I can't speak for those further south.

Assuming the name of two continents strikes me as presumptuous. In times when the USA isn’t threatening to invade other American countries, it barely even registers. But now, every time I go to call someone from the USA an “American” I feel like I’m participating in a psyop against my own country.

Again, “actively call for our bombing” is a ridiculous reading of what she said. Do you think she was advocating a policy? You don’t need to be this easily aggrieved.

Someone raging at the injustice of circumstances while they’re constantly under fire isn’t the same as “calling for the USA to be bombed”. Don’t be ridiculous. If your feelings got hurt, a quiet unfollow would be more dignified.

We’re kind of insulated from a lot of refugee migration by our large oceans and Safe Third Country agreement with the USA. I don’t think our comparatively less reactionary stance on that issue reflects any virtue of our’s, just circumstance.

I will demand that Putin personally get down in the mud and sucks 2 kilometers of pig dicks at a sizeable pork farm to end the war. After russia gives up their nuclear weapons, demilitarizes, and dissolves into its component nations. Once the sucking is complete, we can discuss reparations.
