Let me tell you this: nail art stickers are awesome. I got some snowflake ones for the winter and they look nice on the light blue I used today. I bet they’ll look even better over a rich deep forest green, or vibrant red. I added a glitter topcoat for snow sparkle. I know my cuticles look awful.

The beans portion of rice and beans for dinner smells so delicious!!! I’m very excited to have it with plain white rice. It’s a little spicy and the rice will temper it nicely.

Grampa was an amazing woodworker. While in Holland, he carved this out of a single solid piece of wood. It’s in the museum at Gagetown. It’s flexible, and the balls at the end are free in the cages. It’s really an incredible piece.

This is my beloved Grampa. He taught me woodworking, gardening, and how to tend to forests. He's been gone for well over half my life and I miss him every single day. He volunteered for the war effort, and helped build pontoon bridges in Holland in the 32 Field Company, Canadian Military Engineers.

I made my Mom’s Bean Soup for dinner tonight and it was precisely what I needed. Super easy, 6 ingredient meal. 1 can rinsed/drained red kidney & white kidney beans & lentils. 1lb hot Italian sausage scramble fried. 1 large can tomato juice. Some diced celery. Pot, simmer. Serve. Enjoy!

I made a twist on ‘Pizza Beans’ for dinner. Ground beef, pasta sauce, lots of basil and oregano, white kidney beans, and cheese. It was phenomenally good. Will absolutely make again.
