Where there should be a smokebox door, there instead sat a round gray face. It didn’t move or react to the Doctor at all… besides its eyes.
The eyes looked up at the Doctor before slowly looking down at a blackened, burnt looking lump stuck on the TARDIS’ buffer beam.

The locomotive spun through the vortex as the arm attempted to maneuver the Doctor to the front of the train. Unfortunately, it could only let him into the train’s cab.
