there is a very clear throughline from the blacklist through gamergate to the charlie kirk moral panic. it's all the same thing.
specifically, it is the thing that the right accuses "cancellation" of being, but which the left has never in fact managed.

I was there, Gandalf. I was there thirty years ago in the 1990s when every sitcom did nine seasons of will-they-or-won’t-they until they fucked and then the writers ran out of ideas and it was canceled one season later.
