Views my own & subject to bias towards Luton Town and Exeter Chiefs. Awaiting a 49pt score for the latter
I've not churned out any stats for a while but Chiefs are back and a very belated Gloucester Review

This week's stats feature such delights as why Exeter v Harlequins games are good value? Chiefs increasingly bleak away record, Will Goodrick-Clarke, Chris Budgen and Napoleon Bonaparte (sadly not all at the same time).

How many people have started alongside Dafydd Jenkins in the second row for Chiefs?
Have Manny and Paul ever started together at home?

Exeter Chiefs tries scored since new year...
Leicester 2
Bordeaux 3
Ulster 4
Saracens 5
Hartpury 6
Cornish Pirates 7

So can we pencil Gloucester in for 8 next week?

Post match stats:
- 31 points is Exeter Chiefs highest score in the premiership (or champions cup) since the Bristol game on 12th Oct.
- That's Chiefs first premiership try bonus since that game
- That's 7 defeats for Saracens in their last 8 league trips to Devon since the 2017 Semi Final

Exeter conceded 224 points in this Champions Cup pool stage. You'd have to go back to 2017/18 to find the last time a team conceded more in the pool stage, when Northampton conceded 239 (and that was having played two more games). Not since Arix Viadana in 02/03 has a team conceded more per game.

No stats today... However Exeter Chiefs have never won a champions cup game away to an Irish side - P5 L5.
Chiefs did however win 24-33 at Connacht in the challenge cup 10 years ago yesterday (tries for Armand, Mumm and Penalty try - 18 points from the boot of Slade.

Time for some stats ahead of Exeter Chiefs' trip to Leicester today…
First today is a landmark that will be reached if/when Exeter score: Chiefs have scored 699 points against Tigers in the premiership. Exeter have scored more in the 14 away matches, than in the 15 at home.

🚨📊🧵
Today’s stat thread has some evidence based good vibes ahead of #Exeterchiefs fixture against Gloucester.
Let’s start with Exeter’s record at home in December in the premiership - it’s almost perfect: P15 W 13 D1 L1. That defeat was back on NYE 2011 against Quins.

At Salford they have 7 wins and 6 defeats.

After a couple of weeks off the stats thread is back for @exeterchiefs vs Toulouse.
It’s not been a great season for Exeter so far and Toulouse are a bit good. However it is 8 years since a French side last won at Sandy Park (Bordeaux winning 7-13 in December 2016)

Mick Harford scored the first goal I ever saw live a few years later 2 mins into my first game... my Dad said it "wouldn't always be like that".
Nearly 36 years on from that though and he's still there and still the definitive Luton hero

Exeter Chiefs play Sharks away this week.

Driving from Exeter to Durban is about 8,562.3 miles by road.
This is equivalent to the Premiership mileage Chiefs will have covered in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 combined (including Enya vs the other Sharks in a couple of weeks).
