in 1st century Judea, the corners of every field had to be left for the poor to pick crops for themselves, every seventh year *all* of the crops from fields and vineyards and orchards belonged to the poor, and all debts of all types were cancelled every 50th year.

Amongst many shameful things currently happening in the UK, this is near to the top of the pile. #IPP is an utter disgrace.
🚨If you are not yet familiar with the shocking IPP scandal - one of the most cruel, inhumane and monumental injustices of the past half century - hold onto your seats and watch this jaw dropping update

In outlining her tax plans, #Reeves failed to assert that an enlarged #NHS, poor social-care effectiveness, the 2.6% #defence commitment and #schools' need for enhanced facilities and quality require funding! All these things - #Austerity created - people take for granted don't come for nothing!
The BBC budget "analysis" consists mostly of voxpops by people complaining bitterly about Labour taxing too much and roughly an equal amount of people complaining bitterly about Labour spending too little.

Brexit has cost each and every one of us £3,700 a year.

But instead of solving the problem, Labour are using Brexit as an excuse to raise your taxes.

My message ahead of the Budget: Stop blaming Brexit and start fixing it!

... as was predicted, pretty much. However, these messages, labelled "Project Fear" did not resonant for those open to an alternative narrative. That's the lesson going forward: never give the likes of #Farage and #BJ the space to dominate the story. #Brexit #FuckUp

This is not a peace plan. It is a proposal that weakens Ukraine and divides America from Europe, preparing the way for a larger war in the future. In the meantime, it benefits unnamed Russian and American investors, at the expense of everyone else.

Here's why this Trump-Putin so-called "peace plan" is a disaster:

Tedious re-writing of history; post-truth / populist b.s.; seeking an audience ... #Badenough, #Farage, #Lowe #Tice - the 'rogues-gallery' of utter w*nkers in British politics sickens me.
Badenoch: “The Conservatives have been honest with the public about what went wrong when we were in government”

Have they hell.

As this dismal commentary in The Times proves.
Tell us Kemi, what would leaving the ECHR do to our Brexit arrangements?

Never responsible. Never decent. Never honest.

Rather like #Brexit - people driving the exit campaign had no fear of having to actually execute the outcomes of the foolhardy referendum. Proper and effective politics embraces real / meaningful #accountability ... which is why #Farage will never take the Big Jobs.
The fact that Johnson has, and probably still will, get away scot-free for his criminally bad decisions during the pandemic is disgusting.

He should be held accountable and prosecuted personally, alongside Hancock and other Tories.
