I'd be really interested to see the past passports of Miller and others now running the U.S. ― the ones from when they were in their 20s and early 30s…

Did any of them ever pack a bag and head out overseas alone or with a friend to just…go…and see what it's like out there? To roam and learn...? /1
Stephen Miller is now arguing that assimilation is fundamentally impossible and that certain cultures are not compatible with Western civilization

I'd say we're seeing exactly why they've had ill-trained, reckless ICE teams out there behaving so provocatively, and National Guard soldiers pointlessly walking around exposed in public places. The tragedy took longer to happen than they'd likely expected, but they'll now go into Step 2 with gusto.
Trump: “I will permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries … denaturalize migrants who undermine domestic tranquility, and deport any Foreign National who is a public charge, security risk, or non-compatible with Western Civilization.“

Confronting Trump in the moment may seem like what should happen, but a journalist doing that would break the moment and become the story.

He relishes combat that he thinks makes him look like a fighter; here he's left looking like a bully -- that abusive teacher, boss or partner we all hate. /1
I can’t believe people in the room don’t push back. It doesn’t matter if he’s the president, part of holding him accountable is standing up to his bullying— especially if he’s doing it right in front of your face

Skin 'em, cube 'em, boil 'em, mash 'em, add salt, pepper, a big glop of marg or butter, a glug-glug of maple syrup, and a big finger-grab of parm. Mix. Serve. Eat. Great.
Sweet potatoes are terrible, a side dish that should be savoury and unctuous somehow rendered cloying and orange, and the last thing your palate wants is for them to be made even sweeter. Especially with, are you kidding me, marshmallows.

That is my last word on what you people are about to do.

What the American leadership can't get its head around ― and what Europeans grasp better and Ukrainians know in their bones ― is that this battle is over the fates of scores of millions yet unborn, not just limiting the casualties and destruction of today. Will those lives have a chance to be free?
