Democrats weigh GOP offer on crypto market structure bill
A group of Senate Democrats who are in talks with Republicans on a major cryptocurrency bill met behind closed doors Monday to discuss an offer for compromise legislation that they received last week from Senate Banking GOP negotiators, according to three people with knowledge of the matter who were granted anonymity to discuss private discussions. The offer, sent by Senate Banking Chair Tim Scott’s team to Democrats late last week, outlined a proposed compromise crypto market structure bill that Republicans hope to mark up this month. It is unclear what the content of the proposal looks like. Democrats met Monday evening to discuss how to respond, one of the people said. They were expected to discuss a potential counteroffer, the person said. The group of Democrats involved in negotiations includes Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Mark Warner of Virginia, Ruben Gallego of Arizona, Lisa Blunt Rochester of Delaware, Andy Kim of New Jersey and Angela Alsobrooks of Maryland, among others. A separate, bipartisan group of lawmakers involved in the crypto effort met over breakfast last week to discuss talks — the first bipartisan member-level market structure meeting in weeks. Banks’ crypto lobbying: Separately, a trio of big bank CEOs will meet with lawmakers involved in negotiating a cryptocurrency market structure bill Thursday on Capitol Hill, according to two people with knowledge of the matter who were granted anonymity to discuss closed-door meetings. Citigroup CEO Jane Fraser, Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan and Wells Fargo CEO Charlie Scharf are expected to attend. The Financial Services Forum is facilitating the gathering, which was previously reported by Punchbowl News. A spokesperson for the Financial Services Forum, Laura Peavey, said in a statement that “America’s largest banks, the strongest, most regulated institutions in the world, play a critical role in driving digital assets innovation.” “The meeting is another opportunity to share their perspectives and serve as constructive partners in crafting smart policy to ensure the U.S. remains a digital assets leader,” she said.

The deadline started with Dems casting their worthless votes for the Unaffordable Care Act.
When it comes to saving the ACA tax credits, we are way past the deadline—we are in overtime.

Republicans need to understand that it’s literally NOW or NEVER to stop the premium hikes families face next year.

If they refuse by running out the clock, they're choosing NEVER.
