A passing reference to Unistats but no word on league tables, often seen as the villain of the piece in the student market place. Do they offer flawed guidance? Were they simply a response to the information vacuum when "variable" fees arrived? Have they contributed to market failure?

Surely this is a matter for each individual. I don't wear a poppy but contribute to the British Legion appeal (and to other charities assisting ex-servicemen and servicewomen). And I attended my village's remembrance parade this morning. But I respect those who freely decide to wear a poppy.

A good turnout for my village's memorial service, augmented by a biker who happened to be passing and stopped his Harley-Davidson to take part. Can't help but be moved.

As a sometime critic of Mr Pecksniff, I hope he won't mind if I raise a digital pint to recognise this major milestone. Here's to the next 200 pins in the deflating egos of our feeble politicians nationally and in East Anglia.

The breadth of his generalisation is simply staggering. If @timfarron.bsky.social fails to respond he will be exposed for chasing cheap votes by spreading falsehoods.

Unless Reeves protects struggling working people and the services they deserve and skews the pain towards the truly wealthy, Labour has betrayed its heritage and doesn't merit the people's support.

No longer. Adverse criticism over payments to artists tipped the balance.

A tragedy. We need to cling to every element of scientific communication in the face of the advance of ignorance.

Haven't flown since 2017 and have since explored Europe's amazing train network - Marseille and Genoa the extremes so far. Greatly superior experience to flying.

I last flew in 2017 and never will again unless for a pressing family emergency (a low probability I hope). Flying isn't a right and shouldn't be subsided by tax payers (by up to £10b a year in fuel duty and VAT exemption alone).
