By way of an intro, I'm a mostly urban environmental photographer who has spent the last 10 years of so photography in and around South Wales & the West of England, using both film & digital, colour & black & white (although I have recently started doing a bit of landscape stuff). Thanks!

This is stunning work by Shaun, honoured to call him a friend. We were lucky enough to travel to Cardiff recently to see this exhibited. An insight filled with love and respect.

Here is the progress on my latest commission. This cross is for the church in Llantrisant in oak salvaged from the church's bell tower which is undergoing refurbishment.
The rays will be gilt with 24K gold and Oak will be fitted in between them.

You have to wonder just how many more people have to die before something is done. The answer would appear quite a few.

Aside from all the many many issues with mass gun ownership there’s the realisation that guns are products and that someone somewhere is profiting from all this death.

Sometimes the world can seem a difficult and confusing place and it seems easy to give up hope of things ever getting better. But then I'm reminded that Wotsits has an extensive and detailed entry on Wikipedia. For some reason this gives me hope.

The original batch of these sold out really quickly so I'm just seeing if there's an appetite for a second run somewhere around late October, so that you can buy them in time for Christmas gifts? Let me know and if there's enough interest then I'll work on getting some done by then :).

a ruin facing away from us on an angle with the roof mostly missing and fields in the background a large mostly intact ruin with a tree and long grass in front of it a large ruin with the roof missing, there's a wall to the left from an outbuilding, a wall to the right, and a gate in the middle, with green mossy stones in the foregound a long ruin face on with gaps for windows, though the structure and roof are largely intact at this angle. There's grass in the foreground and grey skies above

Nothing says pride in the flag like zip tying a Union Jack halfway up a lamppost in a car park…..

Just a gentle reminder. Forgot to mention that there's also a fantastic exhibition of art on the walls by local artists.

Would love to see you there.

Well, it looks a bit shiny but I know what I’ll be wiping my bum on in this scenario…..

I take full responsibility. Marmite is the dark nectar of the gods!

There’s that thing about a famous golfer, who when asked home come they were so lucky, replied with something like, ‘funnily enough, the more I practice, the luckier I get….’

May have got that wrong but it sounds right.

If you can find on streaming, ‘Local Hero’ directed by Bill Forsyth - a beautiful comedic slice of calm whimsy in the maelstrom that is the current situation.

Sadly, I cannot. I'd been photographing the interiors of vacant shops and these chairs happened to be there. Other people have asked about them and the consensus seems to be that they're 60/70s design. I'll have to try and find out more.

Sorry you can't make it, Ben. Hopefully it will be good.

Looks like Madonna’s conical bra has shrunk a bit in the wash……

Some photographs from my on going occasional sometimes project about wandering around beaches every now and then. I might call the project ‘Shoreline’ but maybe not…..
Some elaborate metalwork in silhouette against a plain bright sky. Two bits of wood - might’ve been something else (didn’t check) - emerging from the sand and water. A pair of razor shells on the sand. Sometimes referred to as razor clams (I did not know this). The posh name for them is Ensis magnus.
