Eòrpach fhathast / immer noch Europäer. Saboteur and enemy of the people, probably.
It’s indeed a mystery how he could afford a dacha … er … chateau.

We should definitely cut the maximum wage for pro-Russian grifters, like by imposing a 98% tax on their worldwide income. We could call it a “dacha tax” or something.

And what irritates me is the assumption that the UK is somehow special and deserves to be treated like a current EU member. It isn’t and it won’t be.
November 27, 2025 at 8:06 PM
Of course not. But after such an acrimonious UK exit from the EU, there is IMHO no appetite to entertain a UK application to join until it’s clear that the political consensus in the UK is pro-EU.

I suppose the easiest way to reduce immigration is to make the country so awful that nobody wants to come here or stay here. Genius!
November 27, 2025 at 6:06 PM
Well then. Why the question?
November 27, 2025 at 6:02 PM
The UK is not a member state.

The vodka is missing.

“Niemand hat die Absicht, eine Mauer zu bauen”
November 27, 2025 at 3:21 PM
And I think the political consensus in the UK (all major parties) would have to be pro-EU before an application to join would be considered.

But preferably in Latin. Much more elegant than English.

Epsteinians?
November 26, 2025 at 4:47 PM
And I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that Shapps is Jewish. Nothing to see here!
November 24, 2025 at 11:13 AM
🤦‍♂️
November 24, 2025 at 10:55 AM
A non-binding, advisory one though, right? 😉
November 23, 2025 at 11:24 AM
Would the UK be ready to walk away from all those “wonderful” 🙄 trade deals done since Brexit? Joining a CU with 🇪🇺 would presumably require that.
November 23, 2025 at 10:57 AM
True, but I imagine the Irish government didn’t want to take any chances, especially after 🇬🇧 ministers (Patel?) openly discussed starving out 🇮🇪 in order to get their way.
November 23, 2025 at 10:51 AM
So in other words, Farage did the betrayal for free, whereas Gill at least wanted paying for it?

LinkedIn appears to be site where people do nothing except post humblebrags about using AI. Or maybe that’s just me 😅
November 21, 2025 at 6:43 PM
Was even mentioned in @theguardian.com this week as if it was some concrete deal that had been signed already 🤦‍♂️
November 21, 2025 at 2:43 PM
Is this oft-quoted Agri-food deal which I keep hearing about just the verbal agreement made last May to work towards one? Or did I miss the actual signing of a real agreement?

It’s astonishing how consistently wrong Hannan is about everything. Truly an achievement.
November 19, 2025 at 7:52 PM
There’s going to be a permanent base on Mars before that happens, I think.
November 17, 2025 at 8:42 PM
I’m not even sure that Matteo Salvini has ever proposed this.
