Monahan was very good and provided a boost for the Habs prospect pool. Much more value for Montreal in those transactions.

It could be either or neither. I don’t think they’ve been together long enough for them, let alone other scouts, to know each other well enough to demonstrate their tendencies.

Those players come to Montreal and are given opportunities. Some, like Monahan, grab the opportunity and revitalize their career. Texier has that opportunity and Laine still has a chance.

The way this team is being built I hope there will be more balance within the top lines, a little more talent in the bottom six and a strong defence corps. A good to very good goalie tandem should take us a long way.
