Interesting, it is difficult to move on from Fujifilm, the tactile feel and handling along with decent optics always have drawn me in (and back in!). After a flirtation with a GFX, I eventually went to the Leica world, not cheap but very satisfying. I hope the SOny works out for you.

If the price gap is large between any new Q Monochrom and the current used price of Q2 Monochroms then I don’t think there will be too much movement in the Q2 price, and initial slight dip (upgraders), then a hardening

Hence why it’s stayed in production despite the Q3 coming up to 2 years production. They are all fantastic cameras and the monos out of the Q3 are certainly not shabby 🙂

Yes but it’s a Contrast Only Detect auto focus sensor - not phase detect - Contrast Detect is a bit slower but can be very accurate - Phase Detect is faster but relies on colour information

I think this is unlikely, the sensor in the Q3 and it’s associated processor uses phase detection for the AF which relies on the colour filter array. For AF on a monochrom sensor you need contrast detection. The M11M has the same sensor without the colour array but has manual focus only
