Various 4chan anonymous users comment on the genderbent version of Twilight, Twilight Life and Death. OP comments, "Stephanie Meyer wrote a book that was a remake of Twilight with every character's gender swapped. So it's now a story about a sullen loser high school boy who gets systemically stalked and pressured into a relationship by a borderline psychotic vampire girl that's constantly internally struggling with her desire to fuck him outweighing her desire to eat him, who then protects him from an even more predatory vampire girl who simply wants to torture and devour him, then she later gets into a feud with a muscular and athletic Native American werewolf girl that is also in love with him". Anon 1 replies, "what the fuck i finally get it". Anon 2 replies with a Danny Devito meme from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia captioned "I get it now". They also reply, "Damn, now I feel bad for making fun of Twilight all these years. What the fuck happened to me?"

My Twitter thread responding to user "tenobrus". He claims "no one has ever coherently explained to me why the hard problem of consciousness is actually a problem. not once. it's literally just begging the question and i'm sick of pretending otherwise." I respond, "It's a problem for consciousness research, comparative psychology/neuroscience, artificial neural nets, panpsychist priors, evaluating the cognitive fitness of infants and toddlers and people under psychedelics and people with neurodegeneration and ... so on and so on. Subjective findings and objective measures routinely depart from each other at the time of study, but when reconsidering the evidence we can use qual findings to scaffold quant findings — situate them in contingent behavioral phenomena. So you get BACK to the real world anyway! Aggressively pursuing behavioral measures without alternate priors like the free energy principle gets you re-treading Skinner's behaviorism. You turn the arrow back inward. Why do you think the cognitive revolution picked up in the 1950s? That they were just bored of the brain? Explaining the hard problem of consciousness is incoherent b/c it connects to so many other fields. What IS it like to be a bat? Does the biosphere have dementia? Do social groups think and know? Why does the brain experience, but the other somatic organs do not, or do minimally?"

Occasionally, some photos would look just fine. Night Sight retains that moderated "legacy" look, with moderated tones and strong cool hues that seems unique to the mode; and when it nails dynamic range, it NAILS it.

I don't have any qualms with the somewhat softer image quality (which could be high ISO noise reduction!), because I think of it more like an upscale vintage lens.

This lens is a light-drinker. Color rendition on my Canon RP looks about average, maybe somewhat faded — nothing a little contrast or saturation can't fix.

Pleasantly surprised with my EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM that's just come in the mail today. Image stabilization is modest, maybe 1-2 stops of compensation. It's great above 70mm-ish.
