A little bit of history worth knowing. If it’s history, they are trying to wipe it out, to make room for the absurd tales of eternal innocence that bring fascism and bloodshed closer.
1/ The US Government has quietly removed a memorial to Black soldiers who died in World War II from the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten, South Limburg. The move follows a complaint from the right-wing Heritage Foundation to the American Battle Monuments Commission. ⬇️

Schumer allows a provision to go into the supposedly “clean” CR to allow people like Ted Cruz to file lawsuits for money over Jack Smith’s J6 investigation. Amazing Dem leadership in the senate. Thanks Chuck!

Most Senate Brained thing ever. Stupid.
Whoa -- Sen. Durbin went to up Leader Thune during the vote last night to tell him that on the shutdown vote and ACA promise that "8 of us are sticking our neck out that you're going to keep your word. I hope you will. He said 'I assure you I will,'" Durbin says just now

This is not a deal — it's an empty promise.

Trump and his Republican Congress are making healthcare more expensive for the middle class and ending it for working families.

Time for Democrats to stand tall for affordable healthcare. www.politico.com/news/2025/11...

He better hope not! I can see Trumpster being totally unwilling to negotiate, and maybe that will do it. Dunno. But scare weak posture.
Guys I don’t think that Schumer thinks the GOP will take the deal, that’s why he’s offering it in public

Very convincing thread arguing the President had a stroke that is being covered up.
I am not saying that a stroke like this is disqualifying for the office of the presidency, not at all. Neuro recovery is a remarkable and individual thing.

But like, it is very clearly what's going on here.

Kevin, when you put it that way... it sounds pretty bad.
Over the past week, the president said the DOJ should pay him a quarter billion dollars, bulldozed half the White House to build himself a gaudy ballroom, bragged about murdering civilians in international waters, pardoned some more criminals, directed federal prosecutors to indict his opponents ...

1/ A Russian city is literally drowning in human waste due to the failure of its sewage system. It's worn out but hasn't been replaced or repaired due to a lack of funding. It's a vivid illustration of the costs imposed by the Russia government's budget being redirected to fund the war in Ukraine. ⬇️

Good idea
I don’t think it makes sense for Dems to publicly demand that Vought be fired as a condition of passing a funding bill, but they should hint publicly (they have been) and say explicitly in private that it’s one of the only things that could signal enough trust to pass a funding bill.

“Miller is working overtime to polarize the public debate about Trump's increasingly dictatorial abuses of power…He relentlessly depicts Democrats as allied with a vast, inchoate class of violent criminals and insurrectionists…” sharp read of what Stephen Miller wants from @gregsargent.bsky.social
JB Pritzker and Gavin Newsom are doing something new and important: They understand Stephen Miller's theory of fascist power politics, and they've developed a theory on how to combat it. More Dems need to reckon with Miller's understanding of the moment.

At this inflection point for Trump's authoritarian project, the democratic resistance has a chance to rise to the occasion by linking together its legal prong (lawsuits), its political prong (the government shutdown fight), and its popular prong (No Kings). A moment of challenge and opportunity.
