Film #448: Iron Man

It is always wild to see the first film in a long running franchise, before they had a house style. Honestly, still a fun watch! #2025Films

Film #447: The Princess Diaries

Talk about knocking it out of the park for your debut role! Just, Anne Hathaway is sooo good here, it almost feels effortless. And then Julie Andrews just being Julie Andrews! #2025Films

Film #446: The Bad Guys 2

Really fun heist/crime film, worthy sequel. I would definitely watch a third one. #2025Films

Film #445: Wake Up Dead Man

It's another great Benoit Blanc film. It was a very well crafted mystery and Daniel Craig is as wonderful as ever. Most of the cast is great also and loved the use of lighting. Really hits different for any fallen Catholics watching it. #2025Films

Had to drive an hour but seated for Wake Up Dead Man!

Film #444: Stardust

Very enchanting film. There's enough independent of HIM that I feel I can enjoy it. Michelle Pfeiffer is very fun in it. #2025Films

Film #443: The Mummy Returns

Okay, even when everyone in your cast superhot, it means nothing when the plot is kinda meh, you saved money on the effects, and you have a kinda meh child actor that the plot depends on. #2025Films

Films #442: The Mummy

It's just a really made film where everyone is also superhot. I see nothing wrong with a single aspect of this. #2025Films

Film #441: The Wizard of Oz

Deserves to be one of the pillars of pop culture. So well made and well acted. #2025Films

Dinner is ready. It was a two plate kind of day.

Film #440: Wizards of the Lost Kingdom

No one will ever do it like Roger Corman, it being finding ways to make a watchable film that is also cheap as all heck because half the footage came from more expensive films. #2025Films

I put my thing down, flip it and reverse it. Wicked Witch.

Film #439: Pieces of April

An absolutely lovely film. Just the right amount of tragic, quirky, and funny. Especially poignant for a person with a difficult family relationship. #2025Films

Film #438: Treasure Island

Fun enough adventure film. It's fairly beautiful to look at though it does drag at times. Still, it's a pretty good adaptation all things considered. #2025Films

Disney Films: 44/50 (Last post was incorrect)

Film #437: The Sorcerer's Apprentice

Alright effects film. Story and acting wise... it's iffy? I dunno, I never fully bought it but the effects and action sequences were mostly decent. #2025Films

Film #436: Asteroid City

I am still fascinated by the ode to the theater combined with Anderson's attempt at doing Retro-Futurism. Where it succeeds is that every aspect of the film is really committed to the bit. #2025Films

Film #435: Eating Out

I feel like if I'd seen this back when it came out, I'd be more high on it. As is, kinda just feels like it can never settle on what it is. #2025Films

Film #434: Mary Poppins

I know I had seen it before but it had been so long that I'd blanked on most of the broad strokes of the film. It's pretty magnificent honestly. Just the way some of the effects work along with Julie Andrews being trully magical. #2025Films

Film #433: The Naked Gun

Amusing requel to the original series. I was skeptical but it hits just the right notes. Pam Anderson is so back. #2025Films
November 23, 2025 at 4:31 AM
Film #432: Jack Frost

I've seen a lot of bad Holiday Horror Films. I am genuinely unsure if this is worse than the one with the killer elves and Grizzley Adams. I think it's worse since it's supposed to be a comedy which makes a scene about half way worse even more vile. #2025Films
November 23, 2025 at 3:04 AM
Film #431: Wicked: For Good

While not as strong as Part 1, it has some good emotional gut punch moments. Just as beautiful to see. #2025Films

Hello from Row J, waiting for Wicked to start.

Part of my issue is it feels like the writers wanted to do a show about a house full of monsters and felt forced to do anything with the Toku footage.

Surprisingly, a lot of original footage in this one. For how cheap Saban could be, they didn't reuse the same four shots constantly.

Film #430: Hot Frosty

It's so dumb but still fun so... I guess it's alright. #2025Films
