Cowardice from my alma matter - and tbh it’s pretty embarrassing to fold to Trump at this point; he’s wildly unpopular and politically toxic!

Important context to keep in mind -- LOTS for Dems to learn about how Mamdani got his message out there and the way he did it, but the same focus of campaign being widely adopted elsewhere? Probably not.
Also, when you say people saying "Dems would win everywhere with a Mamdani-style platform," I think it's important to remember that that platform delivered the most charismatic candidate in recent history a whopping 50.4% of the vote against a street vigilante and actual vampire, in New York City

Young people feel like we've lost agency over our lives. We can't *really* pick where to live, or whether to change jobs, or how many kids to have -- the cost of living makes us feel trapped.

Younger candidates can powerfully speak to that emotional truth. talkingpointsmemo.com/cafe/young-c...

Yeah that's really key here. Market price parking, keep some for maintenance and beautification, give the rest to transit.

Another consequence of putting Republicans and Trump in power -- didn't have this problem under Biden a year ago, that's for sure.

But tariffs, massively pulling back on federal investment, etc. -- it all adds up to a piss poor job market.
