As usual, Stephen sums it all up pretty nicely.
Ignoring everything else that was said...

"I don’t have to go every day fighting for my position because I earned it"

This is the crux with having older player's legs going on your pitch. If you drop them, they are club legends and feel slighted that all they did was forgotten so quickly.

Salah is mad that Slot has acknowledged the truth that Mo is a defensive liability the team
can’t currently carry if there isn’t output. He’s embarrassed by that and he lashed out.

The manager of the team who conceded this game decided to play a better defender at RW in the games that followed 🤷‍♂️.

Not sure Salah turning into Ronaldo in his second spell at Utd was on anyone’s bingo card for this season but a narcissist gonna narcissist rather than admit they don’t have it anymore so I guess it was inevitable when it goes like this.

If this is how Salah decides to go out that is entirely on him. Slot more than justified in dropping him and probably should have done it sooner.

I guess Salah isn’t the standup guy everyone assumed him to be.

It’s games like tonight I lament the Leoni injury. 😢 The straw that broke the back of the season.

Think the atmosphere at Elland Road will awaken something in the players.

For no particular reason I’m feeling confident sports results are going to my way this weekend. Aussie domination, Lando looking good, Arsenal to drop points at Villa and the Reds to do the business at Leeds.

We play with deep lying CB shields because the CBs currently aren't capable of handling a break without it if the opposition breaks the press.

My Liverpool positives are that Wirtz looks like he is gaining influence and could play 90, Isak is fit, Gomez got through 65 minutes after doing 90 a few days before, and Slot has not started Salah and pulled Gakpo at halftime. Kerkez and Jones are also playing well.

All the Mo dropped debate is distracting from the fact Virg is becoming a real worry #LFC

I think a lot of what ails LFC is their 2 pillars are showing feet of clay and know one really knows what to do about it, including the VVD and Salah themselves. That cliff can come fast and I’m afraid it might be here for them and we are just going to need to ride it out the best we can for now.

Would be nice to get back to Slot making halftime adjustments that work and we improve in the second half.
December 3, 2025 at 9:06 PM
Pretty amazing that we've reached the point that a LFC teamsheet drops with no Salah and LFC fans are all generally okay with it.
December 3, 2025 at 7:22 PM
Its interesting this is framed as the fans being let down by the team. They choose to support Spurs. Not sure what they expect.

LFC could do with Isak banging some goals in the next few weeks.

A step in the right direction from Slot with the lineup. Hopefully it works.

One of the books in my office is 290 years old. It’s still in excellent condition and easy to read. I wonder how easy it’ll be to read electronic texts 290 years from now. I expect it’ll be rather trickier.

I think it’s been clear for a while now, but the sooner Salah becomes an option off the bench more often than not, the better. We can’t keep carrying him defensively every game when he can hardly keep the ball. His defending for their second last night was shocking.

Stubborn adherence to a plan when things aren’t going well is sometimes beneficial trait in leaders as things can turn in your favor. Sometimes stubborn adherence to a plan when it’s not working is a detrimental trait in leaders because a change is needed to turn things around.

I think we should sell VVD and Salah in January.
