Just as I expected. Israel has started looking for any excuse to restart the killing. Here is the defense minister complaining that Hamas is not finding all the bodies fast enough and threatening action in response, even though it was understood by all that finding all the bodies would take time.

There's something that is just absurd about all the heckling that @kamalaharris.com has endured on her book tour. She wasn't president, Biden was. Despite any advice she might have offered, Biden was going to do whatever he decided. But didn't she pledge to continue Biden's policy on Gaza? No. 1/

This says that Netanyahu only agreed to the peace plan as a "diplomatic maneuver" to legitimate the genocide. It proves that Israel's leadership never wanted the hostages, but has been using their continued captivity as a pretext for its ethnic cleansing project.

More Republicans think that it is acceptable for the president to direct the DoJ to investigate his political opponents than who think that it is unacceptable. Republicans are divided over basic ideals used to share wide agreement across the American political spectrum.

They don't really believe that Charlie was a champion for free speech, and that's why it's no surprise that he's not being honored by protecting the free speech of those who have been critical of him in death.

I have always found it striking that, despite the demographics of the island, Jamaica - unlike most independent Caribbean nations - more often than not has had light-skinned political leaders. And I can't help thinking that it says something important about the continuing significance of color there

A few days ago Hamas released videos of two emaciated Israeli hostages, saying that they eat what Gazans eat. Israelis were outraged. So, naturally (not), some Israelis decided to block aid trucks from delivering aid, because less aid makes it more likely that the hostages will be fed. Just insane.

I'm not sure if Israel's Deputy Foreign Minister knows that she's telling untruths to Christiane Amanpour, or whether she's really that delusional. In any case, the media really should stop giving a platform to a government that so systemically misleads the public.

Here is the Israeli Minister of Defense Katz explicitly stating Israel's policy to block all humanitarian aid from entering Gaza. No aid at all has been allowed in for over 6 weeks. This is monstrous, yet being critical of it will get you labeled antisemitic by the Trump admin.

Here is the video of the 15 medics being shot at, along with the IDF's statement about what happened. They all died, including the person filming. IDF then buried the bodies along with the vehicles, and refused to let anyone retrieve them for 5 days.

I am still amazed at Israelis' ability to regard their losses as maximal tragedies that count for everything, and those of Palestinians events that count for nothing. Normal partiality to what's near and dear can't fully explain it. Here's a list of babies killed in Gaza before their 1st birthday.

So Trump's selection to replace Gen. CQ Brown, Jr. as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, LT. Gen. Dan Caine is literally unqualified for the job and will require special exemption.
