Yeah it pissed me off when I noticed it, but all the advisor portraits are AI gen. Last I checked the game doesn't disclose this on the steam page either.

I could be wrong, but man these portraits are setting off every "early AI" alarm bell.

Am I writing a short because I wanted a car chase? Yes. Does this tie into Rasa's Korpsigin story? Hell yes. Did I write all of this just to set up that joke? You're gods damned right.

An excerpt from an upcoming short story starting Rasa (an eldritch powered tigress) and Alphonse (an aggressively gay, Southern dad-coded falcon) “Oh, ye of little faith.” Alphonse chuckled, shutting the car down. A sly smirk peeking out from underneath his pearlescent RCGs. “Watch this~”. He thumbed a button on the center console, helpfully labeled ‘Crystal Coat'. In an instant the computer had pulled up not only a full 3D render of the Gal (bullet holes and battle damage included) but also three buttons: REPAIR || CUSTOMIZE || RECONFIGURE. The first of which Alphonse immediately pressed, followed by the second a few seconds later. Rasa's eyes went wide, as in an instant a scan line slowly passed over the computerized Gal. Behind it the bullet holes were steadily filled and wrinkled bodywork smoothed over, like an invisible hand was ironing out all the kinks. Her eyes shot to the window. Where, much to her shock a similar white-blue line was passing over the car’s bodywork, illuminating the barely perceptible hexagon scales that made up the Gal's exterior. Just like on the screen the holes were rapidly filling in. Metal knitting itself together, going soft and then rigid again as it smoothed itself back to factory new perfection. “Impressive eh? Trust me, you ain't even seen the best part yet.” Alphonse laughed as he scrolled through the menu. Rows and rows of different options passing underneath his talon tips. Colors, bodywork styles, holographic attachments and decals. Like something out of a video game customizer, but all very real. “How, what. How is this possible?” Rasa stammered. Mouth agape at the truly staggering amount of options available. “Nanomachines, hun.”
