My ex and I broke up in high school due to her mom. Tomorrow, I’ll attend her mom’s house for my trainer’s baby shower, where she will meet my fiancé after ignoring me at the gym for 3 years. It should be weird and awkward.

At 5am in the drive-thru, a nurse updates my coworker on his mom, a sweet moment. The guy behind demands to know, gets upset when I say it’s none of his business. He says he’s late for the airport. I ask why he's in a drive-thru if he's in a rush. He calls me one of those women.

Something I do at Starbs with all the names that come through is when it’s a name that reminds me of someone I know I quietly send them well wishes, prayers, and good energy. It’s my way of honoring those people in my life and thinking of them. ✨☕️

Today in the drive-thru a pay-it-forward chain started. One woman had her bill covered and she burst into tears saying, ‘I needed this today.’ It was so special to be the one to deliver that message. Kindness isn’t hard — and people need it now more than ever.

A woman tipped me $100 today because I had been kind to her before. She recently received an inheritance over the weekend and wanted to give back. I feel grateful for kindness and good people in my life.

I keep thinking about how dangerous Christian nationalism is. When I experienced Christianity outside the U.S. it was quiet, soft spoken, selfless, genuinely loving your neighbor without seeking revenge. What America has done to Christianity has twisted it into something almost unrecognizable.

I love making people smile and encouraging them. Friday shifts are always busy and tough, but today three different people cried in my drive-thru and told me they needed my kindness. It feels good to know I made a difference.♥️
