He likely agrees with you that the pro-urban, build dense walkable cities project is part of the solution to the social collapse he sees as central to our political crisis.
But he sees it not an affordability crisis, but as a social crisis. So YIMBY = affordability = political win doesn't work.

I mean... Will is NOT defending SFH lol. He's just being willfully obtuse about the idea that Americans' current preference for SFH is immutable, or that there is still huge unmet demand for MFH that can be unlocked by upzoning like 5% of urban land in high cost metros

I mean unlike the gondola and Boring tunnels, this boat is real and has actually operated in real life in DC! And is used as municipal public transportation in Stockholm
