The hoof bottoms are one of my favorite details. Now to add padding inside the hooves, fill them with plastic beads and seal them. After that I can finish the leg seams. 🪡🧶🐎🍂

I got up early today and worked on the creation of the hoof bottoms. It felt like a bit of a struggle. Every step of the way something would cause trouble. I did get through it eventually. Phew. I swear that embroidery machines are possessed. They're always waiting for a chance to screw up. 😬🪡🧶🐎

I've made a decent amount of progress yesterday eve and earlier today. I really like the quality of this fur. It's both pretty and super nice to work with. It doesn't make for exciting photos at this point, but that should change soon. 🪡🧶🐎

The days are busy, so not much time for crafting lately. I've started on another horse. This one won't have markings, so I picked a frosted fur, for a more mottled look. 🪡🧶🐎

It's my birthday today. Might do some sewing later today, or just chill. It's a beautiful autumn day with sunny weather. 🍃🍂🍁

I brought Moe the Valaise plushie outside today for his outdoor photoshoot, before he's off to his forever home. Murphy came along and kept photo bombing me, so I figured that I should try to include him.🪡🧶

I love how this Valais blackface plushie turned out. It's adorable with all the curly fluff left intact. It struggles like Bambi on ice to stay standing, as the top of each leg is very soft and wobbly. On the other hand it poses very well when sat or laid down. Now to find a name and a home. 🪡🧶🐑

I'm always looking forward to the floppy photoshot right before stuffing the plushie. I think that this little ball of fluff looks extra cute in this stage. Viewed from the side it reminds me more of a fluffy dog than a sheep. I'm very curious how the proportions will look once stuffed. 🪡🧶🐑❤️

Done with the head! I kind of like this super fluffy look. It's not a realistic fur length for a lamb, but it is very cute... Maybe I should keep it long? What do you think? 🪡🧶🐑

There's never enough daylight left, by the time I'm able to sit down and do some sewing. Anyways. Most of the head is assembled. There were a few "bald" spots among the locks on the forehead that worried me. I patched those up with a bit of extra fabric sewn in. Next I'll be adding the ears. 🪡🧶🐑

Finding good references for what the facial fur on a Valaise blacknose sheep looks like has been tricky. On many photos it just looks like a black blob. There is a lot of texture though, so I've tried to add some of that to the muzzle. 🪡🧶🐑

I got it from mohairbearmakingsupplies.co.uk. It looks gorgeous and feels very lucotious. However, the backing is very visible through the fur, as it doesn't cover all of the surface. The backing is also pretty delicate and stretchy. All in all not ideal for plushmaking.

Making fairly slow progress, as I have less time to craft atm. What I've got so far is looking pretty weird. I'll have to shorten the wool for certain. That will come later though, as I want a better understanding of how everything will come together, before doing anything that can't be undone. 🪡🧶🐑

All the furs from my recent shopping spree have arrived. I don't know where to put them, but I do know what I want to make with them! It's hard to decide which project to start with, but I think that I should go with the Valaise black nose sheep. Wish me luck with this one. I'll need it! 🐑🪡🧶

I'm very happy with them. They did seem a bit shapeless for most of the assembly, but now that the body has been stuffed and the fur combed, they look much more round and smooth. ❤️
