While wondering Balboa Park the rehearsal for their regular free Sunday concert at the Speckles Pavalion started. I had to sit down and listen - I know, a tough job but someone has to. The artistic director (Raúl Prieto Ramírez) was working on his arrangement of "New York, New York" - sound on!

First snake sighting of the season - a nice rosy boa that was in no hurry to cross the access road trail.

First coyote encounter despite dozens of hikes on the access road leading to the top of Black Mountain, San Diego. This pup seems to be missing a hunk of tail - I wonder what's the story behind that (pun not intended).
