Every time I think it’s the top I miss out on another 10% of gains. Feels like a perpetual motion machine at this point.

A lot of Paris feels very overwhelming and crowded. Amsterdam makes it much easier to pitch suburban people on urbanism.

lol maybe TEAM has given up on pretending to be left wing

I find it interesting that Trump being elected somehow gave a danish guy permission to be racist. It seems to be a common line he uses when trying to justify himself. The idea that 51% of Americans believing something grants it moral legitimacy everywhere on earth seems pretty ridiculous to me.

Real property prices are now at 2017 levels in Canada.

@denisagar.bsky.social is there anyone I can complain to about extending the hours of our already existing bus lanes? I feel like no one is talking about how even for existing bus lanes we severely restrict the hours they’re in use.
denis.trailin.ca
It’s ridiculous the we only push the “make the bus run faster” button a few hour every weekday so that the rest of the time like 3 people can get parking.

I wonder how the real wages of 13 year old chimney sweeps and stagecoach tilters are holding up
denis.trailin.ca
It’s funny how the real wages are growing Mikal Skuterud has to keep throwing even more “adjustments” at the time series to make his point.

I guess the positive externality is cheaper compute and GPU time?

Greece is underrated in terms of food. You can go pretty much anywhere and get good food for a decent price.

Also they don’t have the track for the full day

In theory this increases the amount of time the fright railroad has it. They can start running trains behind the last west coast express trains and maybe run one before.

Flying porter for the first time and it’s a pretty good experience for the price

I have a friend who was a designer at an engineering firm who got laid off during covid. He took the time to get really good at backcountry skiing thanks to CERB and rejoined the labour force when the jobs came back.

It would be nice to see the "State of U.S. Tariffs:" revised with different levels of USMCA coverage. I really don't believe only 50% of Canadian export are covered, and this new data bears that out.

The majority of temporary workers in the country are on an open work permit under the IMP, which is a much harder program to untangle
denis.trailin.ca
What I find interesting about this is that it's unclear whether the people in the CPC are aware that the TFWP
1. Is the main way for skilled workers to get visas for places like Amazon
2. Isn't a significant source of low skill foreign labour
Or they're just don't care.
