The UK version with Gerry Adams dubbed by an actors doing did seem weaker and almost comical compared to S31.

AFAIR Section 31 did not allow actors but the UK equivalent did.

The fact that many places had no power has probably helped…

Plenty of choices! Oxmantown on Smithfield itself, Urbanity on Coke Lane or Copper + Straw at Church St bridge are my favourites.

A Luas replacement bus? Surprised the notices aren’t for TfL.

I’ve never seen it in Belgium. Is it the “Belgian” equivalent of “Spanish” Madri?

Is Heverlee turning up in the Republic? I’ve only seen it in the North.

It’s depressing. It creates a terrible image of the transport network.

I see the Rodalies de Catalunya train is covered in graffiti as per usual…

Why does a laid up plane always look so sad?

That looks good. Where did you find it?

Lovely article. Having just travelled to Berlin by train from Gdansk, I can concur. Within earshot there were people speaking Russian, German, Polish and Dutch. And best of all, 2 dogs.

The interesting point is that he could have got an Irish passport after they started to be issued in 1924, but chose to keep his UK one.

It seems that as soon as any chain opens here, it instantly looses its desirability. For A&F, this was compounded by the stories about their nasty corporate culture which started to gain traction soon after the Dublin store opened.

I admired it yesterday on my way home via Heathrow. The scale of the stations and corridors is a wonderful example of modern engineering.

“Union” is an excellent series

It struck me as a strange remark too.

I’m on GoMo. Unlimited 5G data, calls and text for €14.99/month. They do not have a call centre, but with a simple proposition, I’ve never needed to get in touch.

Was served it in an Italian restaurant in Dublin recently. Made a change from Peroni.

Same here.
I get my fix from going to a MediaMarkt when I’m on holidays.

I think there’s a concerted campaign going on against cities in general led by the right, spread on social media and aided by talk radio. This article by @iandunt.bsky.social explains why - he is talking about London but much of what he says applies to Dublin: open.substack.com/pub/iandunt/...
They hate London because it is beautiful
Matthew Goodwin went to that there London the other day and what he found shook him to his core.
