interestingly, his district isn't even in Indianapolis area and that's where most of the redistricting opposition is from

Yeah, this is far too many of "unidentified" voters, usually those party id models have them at around 5-7%.

As a plane crashes nerd, I haven't since learning how JFK Jr. fucked up.

Yeah, people underestimate the scenario where they push even harder for gerrymanders because, for them, it's still better to risk it than basically forfeiting the house. It also "triggers the libs" and they care more about that than anything else.

The only real polls/internals they show him are of republican primaries. I barely ever hit play on his speeches but at least few times that I did, I heard him mention Lindsey Graham primary polling.

That was unpopular dem president in-power election for dems tho. We are hoping for the same (better actually) next year in some red states.
November 26, 2025 at 1:42 PM
No, it has been already trending towards dems during Bush years.
November 26, 2025 at 1:38 PM
Yes, one wave election doesn't change things. Vermont has a republican governor and state senate is close, everyone still calls it a deep blue state.
November 26, 2025 at 1:32 PM
Yes, since 2017. 2020 for people who don't consider non-presidentials.
November 26, 2025 at 1:22 PM
Hail Mary so post 2030 census they could dream about gerrymandering the state again. Also, banning mail voting.

Republicans put shitload of money into PA SC retention elections, even tho recalling a judge is extremely rare in the first place, and then let's add political environment to the mix.
November 25, 2025 at 9:36 PM
Going by NJ gov race, even people who are supposed to be experts at this don't consider political environment in their analysis, no surprise some rando millionaire doesn't. It's just "last election was close, same person is running, it must be even closer now, right?" wish/doomcasting.

"big" election I mean
November 25, 2025 at 8:37 PM
One argument republicans can use here but couldn't use with Nov elections is poor turnout, so it might not be a deterrent enough. Short attention spans also mean that anyone wanting to redistrict early next year, might not be as scared anymore. Next "big" one will be SCOWIS in April.

Also, release a version w/o Rhaegar&Lyanna scenes.

Watched some 2006 midterms coverage yesterday and George Stephanopoulos already then mentioned how Virginia is changing and shifting towards democrats.
