I'm under the impression that what they're crowdsourcing here is just a short (or two) for inclusion as bonus material on the BD and for event screenings, so probably only looking at maybe 30mins at most.

I think the peak is still them having released the Chariot that requires two Tzennies to pull and another Knight to ride, though.

This show isn't exactly a bastion of... animation, but it does have a deep understanding of the ability for a few Extremely Funny Drawings to do an awful lot of heavy lifting.

Overlord is a pretty different flavour once you get out of its first season anyway, and it’s in a weird spot given the novel publication had somewhat stalled out last time I checked.

(The show itself is fine - it's kind of hilarious exactly how many of Overlords plot beats the first episode hits, though it goes off on it's own unique tangents after that)

Funny you should mention that - that was asked, and it fewer people than I expected admitted to that being the reason why they were there.

(Although the somewhat constant low rumble through much of the movie has me thinking the audio elements are maybe in bad shape)

I gather both the SLA screenings sold out completely, and the Edinburgh screening did have a European distributor bumper ahead of it IIRC, so I suspect there’s a decent chance it’ll happen.

(Which is to say, you just have to kind of assume that the kind of person who goes to an anime con will be able to see a ROD or a Birdie or what-have-you if they really set their mind to it)

Kawamoris movie Labyrinth is about a girl so stressed by becoming an unintended viral Internet hit that she gets trapped inside her cellphone whilst a doppelgänger formed from her troll account interacting with 7G attempts to complete her real-world self actualisation via social media shitposts.

Anyway, thread done. Normal business shall now resume.

(Coming at the end of a marathon of the other Koike pre-movie special was kinda a lot, though)

Finally somewhat unexpectedly got to see the Koike Zenigata special that came out a few months ago. Good stuff.

Junk World is an absolute delight. The very specific way it uses a combination of both low and high brow humour to explorer genuine science fiction high-concepts reminds me a lot of Red Dwarf (positive), though that might just be the funny salutes.
