they are VERY heavily underutilized.. though extremely bulky tech collars that noticably weigh down on your neck, and have electrodes buried deep into your mind, are also just as good in my book!

The Drones are not mindlessly obedient, higher reason and free will are necessary to serve efficiently. This allows them to pursue other interests during rest. Even if beneath the helmet they are flustered.

There's a reason the Echo's immunity to tempering is such a valuable asset. Although even if Xanadu had it, I doubt @vulpethere.bsky.social's Sevosk would be deterred by such tricks.

Xanadu is standing before Sevosk, sword in hand and determination on his face. Sevosk doesn't seem to be intimidated, calling him "charming" and claiming Xanadu will inevitably serve.

Sevosk begins the process of stealing and crystallizing Xanadu's attributes. Xanadu has slumped over, an openmouthed, dazed look on his face.

Xanadu is now kneeling, stripped of clothing. He has empty eyes, and a blank expression. Sevosk is using puppet strings to rewrite Xanadu's mind for his own use.

Xanadu has been fully hypnotized, with cursed golden piercings clamping any independent thought not already erased by Sevosk. The dragon admires a job well done, ready to present his newest catch to his Master.
