Great... just soooo great. Fingers crossed my flight out to Seattle tomorrow is not cancelled, or that I don't get stuck in Seattle (although, that'd be with my girlfriend, so it wouldn't be all bad...)
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) recently directed every airline to reduce their schedules across 40 U.S. airports during the government shutdown. The FAA's goal is to relieve pressure on the aviation system so that every airline can continue to operate safely. That is the FAA's highest priority, and ours as well. No matter what environment we're operating in, United Airlines will not compromise on safety. Our flight reductions will start on Friday, November 7, and we'll make rolling updates to our schedule as the government shutdown continues. Lemme quickly pop into Autodesk Fusion and whip up a box to hold a relay, then 3D print to test to fitment!

I love having a 3D printer and being able to quickly iterate on designs.

This is not anywhere near done yet, got the basic board size down to check sizing before finishing the rest!

I may have a tiny itsy bitsy problem… I am at 174 kg of unprinted plastics, 35 kg is engineering filaments.

Look, gotta have some variety available while 3d printing…

3D printing can still surprise me. Flow rate and pressure advance were tuned for the white filament, yet it seems to have failed badly on the first two layers.
Multiple coin sized 3d prints, most are face down, except for one. The face down ones are showing an issue with the print where plastic was not properly extruded.

I would not recommend getting a TBI, but if you do, and get an MRI, make sure to request the dicom files on a DVD… so you can 3D print your own brain as a full size model!

Rite Aid has an entire aisle for pegging toys!

End result… it came out absolutely amazing. Gotta spray on a matte clear topcoat to seal in the carbon fiber, cause I like my skin the way it is.

Someone on a Facebook group (which I am now banned from, 🤣) claimed that you cannot print PA6-CF (Nylon 6 with carbon fiber filler) on a Flashforge AD5M.

I off course had to prove them wrong, so here a picture.

Nozzle temp: 280C (max)
Bed temp: 100C
Filament dryer: 70C
