Everyone in the world can see that Trump was being racist about Khan, except his own party leader.

He's every craven "suck up, piss down" line-manager you've ever hated. And somehow he's Prime Minister.
Asked repeatedly about Donald Trump calling Sadiq Khan "disgusting" and suggesting that he was only elected because of immigrants, Keir Starmer's spokesman says only that the PM has a "strong relationship" with the President which has "yielded positive results for this country"

This is a fantastic piece. The Register helped make me the computer person I am today.
In one of the lead features from Issue 26, Tamlin Magee remembers his father, Michael Magee, the man who brought Tantra to the UK.

If JKR is willing to destroy every women's and girls' organisation and institution in this country in her crusade against trans rights, make her fucking do it. Call her bluff. Full juridicial kamikaze. Show everyone how much these ghouls really care about women's and girls' spaces.
All these statements being made with "utmost regret and sadness" fundamentally don't change the fact that these organisations are all folding to appease one vexatious bigot because she has infinite money, instead of doing the right thing and sticking by their guns and ignoring the Supreme Court.

We're watching the wholesale burning of every scrap of dignity afforded to trans people in the UK, their rights, their medical services, their employment, their place within society, their bodily functions.

It is a disgrace, and a disgusting stain on the government and media of this country.

Labour party today:
- Disabled people can’t drive Audis, BMWs and Mercedes on Motability. No to £25k Audis but £36k Nissans are fine
- Discredited PFI to return for funding NHS projects
- Trial by jury to be axed except for most serious cases

That’s just today

Burnham on Mahmood’s immigration plans…

Tell me again how his ‘radical realism’ is going to save the Labour Party?

Yep I was trying to find this today and it's very tricky
Does anyone else remember Starmer's statement that "whatever the government decides to do, we will support it" during COVID? Seems to have been scrubbed from the internet. I can't find it on a google search but I do see a "some results may have been removed under data protection law" notification.

What was Starmer saying about it
Who could possibly have predicted Boris would be an unsuitable PM during Covid?

Literally received my first entirely copilot generated mail in work today. It was wrong or irrelevant and we got sheepish reply from the person when we tore it's response to shreds. What a fucking waste of everyone's time that was.
Not the biggest takeaway here but it’s clear that ChatGPT is basically eroding critical thinking skills for upper/middle management types

Today, on Transgender Day of Remembrance, we remember the transgender lives lost to violence.

The Green Party stands shoulder to shoulder with transgender people in the face of increasing transphobic rhetoric in our society and politics.

Even setting aside that AI is bullshit, I do wish Microsoft (and Apple tbh) would realise the ideal "OS experience" is to launch software and get out of the way. If they think an "agentic AI researcher" would be useful, fine, stick it in the Microsoft Store for $30 and see if the market agrees.
Microsoft is turning Windows 11 into an "agentic OS." It's starting with AI agents on the taskbar, as well as some underlying changes to the Windows platform. Microsoft is betting on these changes for the future of Windows. Full details 👇 www.theverge.com/news/821948/...

Turns out you CAN tax the rich after all, and all the people who've spent the last few decades telling us it's impossible and/or counterproductive were just straight-up lying.
NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*
