Then they barely made it three films in before, nope, forget the fresh start - it was the spy car all along. He got in 1964 when he took down Goldfinger, because the new Bond is gone and the Same Guy held eternal dominion.

I mean, it was a bit weird, and they basically seemed to be responding to the 'Bond is a misogynist' narrative by trying to set up a psychological justification for his misogyny, which is... a choice, but at least it was new and interesting!

When Craig came along, they wiped the slate clean. We were seeing a completely new Bond. He had a similar car to Connery's but it wasn't a spy car - he won it off some guy in a poker game. He showed intriguing moments of vulnerability, like sucking blood off Vesper's fingers in the shower.

This is what @killjamesbond.bsky.social calls the assassination of Craig Fingersuck by the coward The Same Guy.

All the previous Bonds had nominally been the same guy. Roger Moore got revenge on John Hollis's Blofeld for something Telly Savalas's Blofeld did to George Lazenby's Bond.

Oh, I've absolutely read Discworld! And the supplemental books. And seen several of the TV tie-ins. And played the games.

'The time of Elves is over, my friend. By next week, I expect there to be a new people, twice as amazing and special as us. There'll be wise pigs who ride skateboards, or an owl with a gun.'
'Whoa - that's sick as hell.'
'It's so rad.'

She literally decides she has to marry him because he's too stupid. It's a perfect 'ohhh I can't not fuck him' moment. 'My terrible fascist boyfriend just fell into the world's most obvious trap and was almost hanged; do you think we can marry today, or will the vicar want 24 hours' notice?'

Second, at the end, Gladys (Karen Gledhill) tells her boyfriend Frank (Christopher Eccleston) - a young blackshirt who has narrowly avoided being framed for murder after accepting a bogus Security Service job - that she's going to have to keep an eye on him to get him out of trouble.

Conversely, it's cool when a game's framing device is the protagonist telling their story to someone, so any deaths can be written off as them saying 'and then I fell into the shark's mouth and it ate me. The end!'
'So you died?'
'I totally died.'
'Dang. So what really happened?'

I can't say for sure they did it with puppets but I would not be at all surprised if they did.

Pretty sure this was and is a real thing - theatrical companies just doing compilations of the most popular scenes rather than whole shows. And/or splicing crowd-pleasing scenes/songs into other shows - I know they do that for G&S a fair bit.

Oh, I was thinking of Sephiroth. The villains never know what's good for them, y'know?

Unfortunate mixup at the pharmacy and you end up with the prescription that makes you sound like Cilla Black.

I think that's one of the Mesial Arcana.

I love, love, love how nice that series is. Just cheerful and friendly. The Sues' glowing praise for each other. Sam calling them dynamite chicks and angels. Julian praising the LGBT community's solidarity. Even Lucy's affectionate 'oh, Julian' when he made one of his famous smutty puns.
