The technology basically peaked. It's all incremental tinkering now. Like with digital cameras - the technical differences between the highest end products are only of interest to a tiny percentage of experts. Which might be part of the reason for "AI" being pushed in everything.
My phone is doing all the same things from 2015 with only minimal benefits. The only reason we have to upgrade is increased software bloat.
We should actually just have phones that last 15 years now.

Going through my inks and nibs (another victim of baby proofing). 3 of my nibs I had won in an art comp at a now defunct anime con.
On a whim I wondered if the store supplying the prizes was still around.
They are! And it looks like they haven't updated their website since 2005.

At some point in the baby proofing process, so much of our things got packed away.

I wonder if ant logistics take into account scout parties that don't return.
Do they just keep sending scouts to certain areas unless they hear a report that is negative?

I don't know why it's so contentious to believe people should be paid well for their specialised skills or paid well to sacrifice their time for a menial job.
People around me are definitely not ready to find out I think people who can't contribute to society should also get to live with dignity
