How can we read the first half of this paragraph and think this is an excellent piece? The second half of the paragraph is correct, but the leftist ranting in the first half is evidence-free itself! Plus no nod to Biden's pro union policies? Abundance is the product of "Billionaires"? Come on.

I think the must bigger assumption is that the 80% of races that are uncompetitive tells us much of anything about optimal partisan candidate strategy. Jain apparently has the same critique, tho I haven't seen his battleground estimate.
