It’s such a tough time. My wife and I (both medical) always thought if we could be performing at 70 percent at home and work that was all we could reasonably expect of ourselves.

Reading the comments with interest as a Canadian Gen Xer who identifies as liberal. Have to admit it’s hard to weed out the noise. Anyone want to summarize both sides of the argument for me?

Happy to help! Think of the fat as a signal that something may be going on but not the actual source of the problem. Similar to seeing water white spots in your tonsils can mean you have strep but if they test and it’s negative they can stop worrying about it

The only caveat is they may consider a small bowel MR or CT to make sure there isn’t inflammation higher up.

It’s somewhat subjective, especially at the time of surgery. Likely an overcall on the part of the surgeon. If colonoscopy and biopsies ok then that is very reassuring that there is no Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
