Not seen Part 2 yet, but I really think Part 1 is a poor adaptation from a direction and artistry stand point, completely carried by Cynthia, Ariana and Jonathan.

Ooo well exciting! I am an odd one in the sense I kind of prefer act 2 anyway, I love the political aspects and conflicting emotions throughout. Thank Goodness is one of my favourite songs in it

Interesting! Does it look good though? I am intrigued to see if they solve some issues of Act 2 - mainly the terrible Wicked Witch of the East song which is so bad they didn't even include it in the original broadway cast recording 😂

It could have all been done before or after the song too it's just not needed. I think No One Mourns The Wicked also had a lot of unnecessary additions, the film views its audience as dumber than the musical does. Haven't seen Part 2 yet, I'm not hopeful

I just HATE how they have failed the supreme talent of Cynthia Erivo, I haven't even seen Part 2 but Part 1 was bad enough. She's arguably the most talented theatrical actress to play Elphaba and yet they've put her in a film devoid of style or any point of view. GROSS

I vaguely knew the family who own it when I was younger and they were all lovely, been passed down for a few generations
