This is completely incorrect. Twitter user AI to moderate posts, and if it deems it nsfw it will shadowban it, preventing it from showing up on the "for you" page, which means it wont be shown to non-followers. Hateful posts get completely banned, meaning they wont be shown even to followers.

im not too far off on twitter from their following (270k) and still get shadowbanned. a small handful of artists get recommended nonstop and it is very annoying for me because I don't understand why the algo favors only them.

in most cases it goes hand-in-hand. it decides its too lewd and stops showing it to people. but some artists post the same bare ass drawings and get put on recommended nonstop.
