Nerding out a bit here as Trials has a lot of sentimental value to me - I'd joined Bungie just before the first Trials weekend of Destiny 1, and playing 36 hours of 3v3 elim over that first 3-day weekend really solidified my love for the game.

We hope this keeps the population healthy, provides space for players to learn the ropes of Trials, and maintains aspirational moments of hunting for higher win streaks and rewards throughout the community.

Sure, you may encounter "sweaty" players a bit more frequently, but you will also have more casual matches sprinkled between as you grind out your post-game rewards, titles, and cosmetics.

Sure, you may encounter "sweaty" players a bit more frequently, but you will also have more casual matches sprinkled between as you grind out your post-game rewards, titles, and cosmetics.
While the system will briefly look to prioritize matches against other players with similar performance for the week, it will quickly place you back in the normal Lighthouse pool after a short time to ensure good connection quality and experiences.
