Actually that was one of my 3 free articles for the month, haha. Maybe wait until next month and learn more and then we can resume this convo.

I appreciate the prayers, but prayers only go so far if you’re supporting policies that will negatively impact both our families and our patients.

Your 2nd sentence is an indication of why you’re losing this argument. It’s not *my* research - I’m not claiming I did it with easy Google searches and vibes. The evidence presented by larger bodies, or in the case of the undocumented immigrants claims, the actual laws, support my statements. (2/2)

If you actually read that Forbes article, the crypto venture was announced 9/2024 as he was running for president, and then he won and has promoted it as president. His net worth has increased by 3 billion in just a year. That’s not just after his 1st term, that’s _during_ his second. (1/2)

I don’t care about him earning money *after* his presidency. I’m concerned about him using his presidency, during it, to make money off people even as he drives up costs for those same folks.

The difference between my points and yours is that yours have been disproven by better research.

Re: safety nets - you’re just repeating MAGA talking points with no basis in fact. Undocumented immigrants can’t receive federal benefits though they pay taxes into them. Many full-time jobs don’t pay enough to live. Reducing regulations has not helped the 99% all these years, why would it help now?

He’s also got Trump products, Mar-a-Lago visits, and now ballroom donations coming in. He’s kept promises to his own profit, but what has he done for actual Americans who aren’t billionaires?
Sorry the facts are getting in the way of your attempts at cleverness. 🤷🏾‍♂️(2/2)

Well, they weren’t fake investigations or impeachments. And while he lost money during first term, Forbes says net worth has increased this year thanks to crypto and his rolling back of regulations to pay off his debts, law fees, and yes increase his profits. www.forbes.com/sites/danale... (1/2)
Trump Jumps 118 Spots On The Forbes 400 List Thanks To Presidency
Donald Trump lost money during his first term. Out of office, he found a formula for profiting off politics—now he’s piling up billions.

Trump hates any regulation that restricts him from increasing his own coffers even if it means throwing others (like you and me) under his bus, he’s proven that multiple times in 2025 alone. Sorry you drank his Kool-Aid.(2/2)

You missed the point of the video. You also apparently don’t understand what a safety net is. It’s not like the net used to capture people/animals by throwing it over them. It is a platform, underneath, setting a minimum because we know when basic needs are met, then people are free to excel.(1/2)

Those are all primarily problems of staffing and things you need to put money into. Free market and undercutting prices doesn’t help there. Even innovation doesn’t happen with poor staffing. Healthcare needs radical change in its approach, and capitalism can only take it so far.
November 9, 2025 at 1:10 PM
Free market principles supposedly help drive down costs, but in today’s world prices for everything have gone up. To some extent that’s inevitable but for something that’s a human right, we deserve better and can’t rely on competition.(2/2)

Ah, you misunderstand me. I don’t think the architects of the ACA thought of it as a stepping stone to single-payer, I’m certain of that. Those of us that want universal healthcare see it that way, a step forward so we can push toward better. It’s far from perfect, but it added protections. (1/2)
November 9, 2025 at 4:04 AM
The Affordable Care Act has always been a stepping stone. It was a compromise between what is about to happen in 2027 kicking millions off insurance and true universal healthcare in a country that’s supposed to be the greatest but has terrible “healthcare” spending for its outcomes.

I don’t pretend to have an easy answer, but it starts with electing people that actually want to use government for the right reasons.
And that’s not #communism or #socialism or #Marxism - Google is free.

Also everyone share this because she was really annoying to listen to. (4/4)

The Trump administration is trying to convince you that government is bad and we should just have a king who gets rich while everyone fends for themselves. But there is a better way in which government can help people.(3/4)

Zohran Mamdani ran on a platform of service and outreach that felt more sincere than anything we heard from Cuomo or any establishment politician in a long time, and that’s why he won. Will he fulfill every campaign promise? Probably not, but it won’t be for lack of trying.(2/4)

That’s the funniest thing you’ve said today.
November 8, 2025 at 3:27 AM
I agree that red tape and costs are a problem, but government-run healthcare has never had a real fair shake in this country. There’s no reason we can’t learn from other countries and do it better. Single payer universality and transparency with American resources (if Trump doesn’t deplete it all).
November 8, 2025 at 1:35 AM
I can grant that, but even a proper Free market doesn’t ensure quality healthcare. We’d still see undercut prices and quality to maximize profit. While that works in some arenas, healthcare, a human right, shouldn’t be one of them. Single payer universal healthcare or bust, societally speaking.
November 7, 2025 at 10:19 PM
You’re literally making the case against that. The ACA isn’t responsible for these price hikes - gutting of its tenets by Republicans and insurance company greed/lobbying are jacking things up. The ACA could be made better, but what we have now in terms of “free market healthcare” is not working.
