@doengels.bsky.social
We want things like "help people pay for healthcare" and the GOP want things like "kill a rising industry that helps people."

Both parties are not the same.

I startled @nayadmonroe.bsky.social this morning when I read that quote in HCR's post from last night. A much needed snort laugh!

We tax property based on value, but not stocks, and capital gains are taxed at a lower rate than income. Both benefit billionaires and must change. Add a couple more top tax brackets, with income over ~$50m being at 90%. We've done it before and got schools, roads, and more.

Well, it as AN argument! 😀

But it's totally back-formation, so agreed: not a good argument.

As to the "valid argument" the only one that came close was: "it stands for GRAPHIC interchange format" and Graphic is a hard G sound."

It makes a certain kind of sense, but far less that "The developers pronounced it as Jiff"

The question is:

Is he lying to us?
Or are his people (including OAN and Fox) lying to him?

Either way, if there was ever a need for the 25th, it's this 🍊💩🤡

I have a shot from a similar vantage point and totally messed up the exposure! Beautiful job on a hard (at least for me!) photo.

Has there been checkboxes and list boxes since version 3 on Windows? I saw that in the "Unlock Scrivener's Inspector" webinar last Friday and it came as a surprise. Those will be useful!

Same! It's one of those no-one-knows-the-quote lines I use way too often.
September 16, 2025 at 8:07 PM
Hell, 🍊💩🤡 is still talking about the 2016 election and his deplorables are still talking about 1865. So yeah, we're still talking about his history of raping children.

Fair. The high end EVs now can get the time from 10-80% charge down to about 15 minutes. Range will be getting longer and charge times shorter in the coming years.

If the feds would get out of the rest.

We're looking to replace our current gas engine and we considered PHEV. But we wouldn't need the gas part very often and stale gas is a thing. In-town, we'd use the electric part but not the gas, and we just don't travel often enough to use up the gas tank.

Do you have a 600 mile range on your gas car? Or is it that gas stations are common enough that you don't need to go as far with a gas engine as you would need between charging?
