Police have detained A.M. (18) and A.Ş. (24), identified as the suspects behind the attack.

Following interrogation, they were formally arrested and sent to prison.

Hakan was last seen on 10 October.

He was later found with serious injuries in Istanbul’s Başakşehir district & rushed to hospital.

Despite efforts, he could not be saved. His death is a devastating loss for Turkey’s independent media community.
