Totally agree. I recall reading about Bromden’s story somewhere a few years ago and thinking his distress made a lot of sense in the context of what he experienced.

Ah thanks for the recipe! I was using a recipe from a site called ‘Tasty’ but usually nearly every cake/biscuit recipe I use comes from that bbcgoodfood site. I find they are usually pretty good.
If I have a success I will take a victory piccie and post on here 😁

Haha that’s what happen to mine every time! I’ve tried not melting the butter, adding more flour, lowering the heat, increasing the heat, reducing the cooking time.
