While the rest of our wildflowers are shot, the asters are still going strong. Our honeybees, which are fussy and will forsake many flowers (e.g., bee balm) for better nectar/pollen sources, are all over these.

We're at my second favorite place in the world, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp for the annual gala. It is awesome to see people dropping $30k for a fancy, catered dinner or $50k for a ticket signed by Sandy Koufax or to send 20 kids to camp. #ThankyouPaul

Sunflowers did poorly this year but my better half cut the head off this giant and we have been rewarded with more than 15 secondary blooms.

An unexpected visit from the Po-po is always a bit unsettling but the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Southeast New England were very nice and efficient. I passed muster.

Robin Trower at the Wilbur. He played all his classics. No one exceeds Trower's ability to get vibrato from a Strat. He travels light - same guitar all night. He stayed in our hotel and my wife was so excited to shake his hand as he was leaving the next morning!

For many perennials, the first year is just about survival. It may take 2 or 3 years to see their potential.

Foreigner's Journey is a solid tribute band, doing Toto, too. One of the middle aged hotties in the front tossed her panties, which Kevin used to adorn his guitar. However unsanitary, it was hilarious!

Hotel pool (heated), air temps in the high 70s, cloudless sky and we have it all to ourselves at noon. Life is sweet.

I feel your pain. We call it a "W" when it's only in the hypothetical stage.

EL&P show was outstanding! Video of Greg and Keith was tastefully integrated with Carl Palmer's live and vigorous percussion. @paulbielatowicz.bsky.social nothing less than phenomenal recreating Emerson's Moog work with guitar and pedal effects. Simon Fitzpatrick was similarly amazing. Bravo!

I have several "favorite" guitarists, Frampton high among them, but none who exceed Joe Bonamassa's virtuosity. If you play guitar, you owe it to yourself to see him live. Humbling to realize if you practiced for 50 years, you'd never come close. He has a gift.

The Outlaws.
Mostly not the original members, but the lead guitarists are excellent and complementary, one being a skilled technician and the other more of an all-round artist with a voice reminiscent of the 70s version of the band. When they play in unison, it's magical.

I took my honey to the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History. Free parking, free admission - best deal in New Haven.
