At tomorrow.io we have 7 microwave sounders on orbit that could help with the lack of SSMIS this hurricane season. NOAA is getting some of our data as part of the Commercial Data Agreement. Here is a sample of some data of Erick from the company linked in (www.linkedin.com/posts/shimon...)

After being 105 in our backyard Thursday, we unexpectedly observed lake effect rain last night with this much colder airmass. I am use to lake effect in the shoulder seasons in the Great Lakes but not in summer. An unseasonable combo of shallow-warm lake + cool airmass. Here is the radar loop 👇
