After being 105 in our backyard Thursday, we unexpectedly observed lake effect rain last night with this much colder airmass. I am use to lake effect in the shoulder seasons in the Great Lakes but not in summer. An unseasonable combo of shallow-warm lake + cool airmass. Here is the radar loop 👇
