Went to a pizza joint while traveling and they had a squeeze bottle of a darkish sauce on the table. I assumed it was BBQ sauce.

Legal folks, does anyone have any recommended training or notes on doing live cross-examination of a witness that you are hearing testimony for the first time?
I've had two TRO hearings this year where I was opposing, and I had to cross a witness who gave long testimony.

Cash bail should be banned. Someone's ability to be released from jail should not depend on their resources. It should be based upon their continued threat to society and what mitigation efforts the state can use to manage that threat.
The "tough on crime" types want us to think that cashless bail means ppl charged with murder walk.
Two things:
1. Even in the most liberal of places, like NYS, they don't.
2. Don't forget: charged does NOT mean GUILTY. We make mistakes--and those wrongly detained get NOTHING.

Was taking pictures of my kids in front of an old hearth during Christmastime at the Grand Hotel in Point Clear, AL and a nice woman asked if we wanted to get in the picture and she would take it.

My research assistants were each assigned a set of years to find ones they thought would be nice to color. They sent me ~2500. I reviewed & selected 227 from those based on whether I liked the picture well as their description & claim language and not duplicating others that were selected.

What is the best format you have seen someone put out claim charts in? I have done claim charts in Word, XLS, and PPT, and I have always waffled about what format looks best.

Have IP practitioners found value in being a member of AIPLA? I am not located somewhere that AIPLA would ever meet, so any in-person meetings would require travel. I have easy access to quality CLE (but generally not IP related).
