I'm not sure how much credit for prevailing Churchill gets above those who actually did the fighting, but no matter how you look at it prevailing against a bigger dick doesn't make you a good guy, and it certainly doesn't "humanize" your choice of munitions. All it does is make you the winner.

War is barbaric. Thankful that I've never had to think about whether I'd rather die by taking a breath of a toxic cloud or by being ripped apart by schrapnel or burned alive by napalm.
Creating munitions that indiscriminately kill people (including soldiers) is not something I'd want on my resume.

Well he does have seem to have a point...
It appears that Miller's ancestors failed to assimilate, I don't think this proves the impossibility of assimilation, but it does lend weight to his argument that "certain cultures" - MAGA & fascism for example - are incompatible with civilization.
