yes. btw in the new book we've included lots of examples from our curriculum. also: we originally intended reading reconsidered 2.0 w updates on what we'd learned from reading research & from writing a curriculum. But the changes were massive & in the end we realized it was a whole new book.

"Research tells us that most people (including adults!) spend too much time reviewing information & too little time retrieving information. With this in mind, partner quizzing has become an important system in my classroom."

Here's a brand new video of students doing FASE Reading in Jessica Sliman's classroom in Whitefish, MT.

It's a beautiful example of shared reading bringing the text to live and providing lots of great fluency practice.

I don't know enough about rugby to speak to his tactics or his selection, but I can speak to his excellent teaching.
And I interviewed him about it here:

I've spent time observing Eddie Jones with three different national teams.
In camp, he is unlike what you see in the media: upbeat & funny, very demanding for sure, but also always seeking to improve his own craft.

Asked on twitter: if you could research any topic in edu what would be most valuable? Interesting. Answer: Middle & high school dysfluency rates (esp on grade level text). It’s rarely assessed post-primary but numbers likely massive...near 50 percent & much > in some places.

What's your answer?
