I mentioned a little while back the tiny suspicion some of us had about the number of cancers among ex colleagues who worked with us on Alameda naval base - you know, the one with the "nuclear wessels".

Not having grown up in the US I'm not 100% sure what does and doesn't count as "taffy" but it's a great subject for a paper. Connects to the topic of rational tangles that I touched on at my ICFP talk years ago.

The other thing I miss about DOS is "typeahead". It used to work. There was basically one keyboard and one "window" and they were connected by a FIFO buffer.
